And I agree to every point you made. It seems we have forgotten how real food taste like and settled with the ones that has lots of poison (albeit disguised as something else). Hurray for home agriculture! Nice allegory about the squirrel! And I agree to every point you made. I turned my suburban backyard into a micro-farm (yard), as well. I have three hens and no one has complained yet. Could be the eggs I share with my neighbor that keeps them quiet :D. Yes, squirrels are industrious little creatures - my chiweenie dogs are doing a good job keeping them at bay lately... We’re kindred spirits! I am already in the process of turning part of my backyard into my own farmyard :) There are some sketchy laws about chickens here, but I swear I will find a loophole! I love fresh eggs! And those squirrels really do love to garden - they are always digging up or pulling up my bulbs and plants and planting them someplace else or tossing them over their shoulders. BTW - thanks for letting me know that your comments work :) Very well written!

I divided it in half and made cards like file folders and put the date starting Mar 1 on top, for once a week. I then filed my seed packs behind each week, that I was going to sow them. I wrote on the cards if I was sowing indoors or direct. When I was finished with that week it went to the back of the row and if the next week I was sowing some of the same seed, the packet went behind that date. I then down loaded some vintage catalogue pics from the Smithsonian web site printed them out and decoupage them on the outside of the box. It was a lot of fun and now I am totally organized (yeah, right). Love your box too. My seeds needed a home this year, so I went to the $ store and bought a memory box for $2.00. If you give your bunny attention, one is perfectly fine. More recently, people are opting for cages with a solid bottom. This is perfect for an indoor or outdoor bunny. As far as the cages with the wire bottom, those are fine, too as long as the rabbit has sufficient fur on the bottom of its feet. Some breeds really don't (like English Angoras sometimes)and some breed are so heavy I don't like them on wire (French Lop). That said, wire works well for many breeds and there are hard plastic mats to place inside the cage if you'd like so they can get off the wire if they'd like. A small type of rabbit is best for kids, although the smallest breed (Netherland Dwarf) can be very skittish and I wouldn't recommend it for small children. Holland Lops are perfect. Let me know what you find out there and I'll try to help! Hi Carri! If you give your bunny attention, one is perfectly fine. More recently, people are opting for cages with a solid bottom. I think we're almost ready to venture into Bunnies. What do you think- can we get by with just one or do they need a friend? Anything I should look for when picking out a cage? Hi Chris!
